HREYN implements various activities for and with young people at the international level.

At the beginning of 2019, General Assembly of members adopted the new strategy which determines the main direction of the Network for the upcoming 5 years. The strategic plan identifies five general aims:

  • To promote and advocate human rights education;

  • To pursue excellence of the human rights education practice;

  • To promote human rights, democracy and rule of law;

  • To develop capacities of the network and the member organizations.

Broadcasting Democratic Consciousness

Study session to be conducted at European Youth Center in Strasbourg aiming to equip the member organisations with the capacity to use media literacy educational tools in youth work and human rights education.

Final Report

House of Heroes - acting against hate speech through Counter and Alternative Narratives

Multi-phased training course aiming to equip those in contact with young public with the necessary skills firstly to help young people build up their resistance and critical thinking skills, so as not to become attracted by extremist and populist ideas, oppressive and hate-driven narratives and secondly to become the advocate and campaigner for human rights using counter and alternative narratives.
